Clear Braces

For those who want to straighten their teeth but are concerned that traditional metal braces will adversely affect their appearance, clear braces are an excellent option.

Deciding to straighten your teeth is an investment into a beautiful and professional-looking smile for the rest of your life. And it’s well worth a bit of discomfort to end up with straight teeth. But now, with many more options available, there are less visible ways of straightening teeth.

Many of today’s braces provide patients with more attractive, less obvious alternatives to metal braces. Clear braces provide the same benefits as metal braces, except they’re clear! They are made of clear materials, so they’re less visible than metal braces while also being strong and resistant to staining.

Benefits of Clear Braces

Clear braces are much less noticeable than traditional metal braces and offer a fantastic aesthetic alternative for patients seeking less visible options.

Many patients who choose clear braces feel more confident about their orthodontic treatment, especially knowing that people are focusing on their smiles rather than on their braces.

For young adults, clear braces offer the discipline of traditional braces without the embarrassment or self-esteem issues that metal braces can sometimes cause.

Clear braces can help give you the confidence to excel in school, work, and personal life.

And they can give you clearer speech for interviews and public speaking than clear aligners do.

At Love Orthodontics, we can provide answers to your questions and extra information explaining the benefits of each treatment. If you would like to learn more about clear braces and all the options available to you, please contact our practice and schedule an appointment today.

What is the Difference between Clear Braces and Clear Aligners?

Clear braces are basically the same as traditional metal braces, except they’re clear! They provide patients with equally effective treatment.

Clear aligners are more like a mouth guard in that they’re made of clear plastic and designed to fit over your teeth. You replace your aligners every couple of weeks to move your teeth a bit more than the previous set. Over time, your teeth are gradually moved into the correct alignment. However, clear aligners can’t be used for certain orthodontic issues, so it’s important to choose the right option for your needs and lifestyle.

Clear braces are a great alternative to traditional metal braces, and your orthodontist will help you determine whether they are the right treatment for you.

Smile with Confidence

Our smiles are a very important part of our identity. A recent broad survey really made this point clear: 72% of the respondents agreed that people of all ages with healthy, straight teeth are typically treated better in social situations than those with noticeably crooked teeth. The survey also found that crooked teeth leave a negative first impression more often than not.

With so much technology available today, it’s easier than ever to improve your smile and experience the difference that a great smile can make. And with clear braces, you can straighten your teeth and create a beautiful smile with braces that are hardly noticeable.

Compared to some of the other “extreme” cosmetic procedures available today, improving your smile is one of the most valuable investments you can make to improve your overall appearance for a lifetime.

If you want straighter teeth but are concerned about how you’ll look with braces, ask us about clear braces. They’re not only discreet, but they’re also virtually invisible.

Straight Teeth for Long-term Health

A beautiful smile is not only aesthetic, but it also promotes good health:

  • Straight and evenly spaced teeth are easier to keep clean, providing better oral health.
  • Properly aligned teeth chew more efficiently, which can aid in digestion.
  • Correctly aligned teeth create a more perfect bite, which can reduce stress, headaches, and strain on your supporting bone and tissue.

According to the American Association of Orthodontists, crooked and crowded teeth are hard to clean and maintain. This may contribute to conditions that cause not only tooth decay but also eventual gum disease and tooth loss.

When left untreated, many orthodontic problems become worse, contributing to abnormal wear of tooth surfaces, inefficient chewing function, excessive stress on gum tissue and the bone that supports the teeth, or misalignment of the jaw joints, which can cause chronic headaches or pain in the face or neck.

Treatment by a specialist to correct the original problem is often less costly than the additional dental care required to treat more serious problems that can develop in later years.

With clear braces, we can treat even the most challenging cases — such as overbites, underbites, and even crossbites — with high-quality results.

Here at Love Orthodontics, we are committed to providing the very highest standards of orthodontic care and the best possible patient experience. Treatment for a healthy and beautiful smile is an important investment for your entire lifetime!
